B&B Systems got its start in the radio broadcast field when FM Radio
was going "Stereo" back in the 1970's. It became acutely
apparent that left and right audio channel phasing was an unknown entity
during the stereo transition of the Radio Broadcast industry. B&B
audio phase monitors are found in hundreds of FM Radio stations across
B&B Systems followed the stereo trend into the television market in
the 1980's. Again the audio phase-monitor was used to solve the
left/right audio phase problem. There are literally hundreds of B&B
phase-monitors in television stations across the country and in Europe.
The founding fathers of B&B Systems recognizing the audio phasing
uncertainty in the early days of "STEREO" so they designed and
built the worlds first audio phase-monitor. Using a known technique
called Lissajous Display the left and right audio signals are directed
into a calibrated XY CRT display that then shows the relative phase
relationship and left/right level relationship. Because both the level
and phase of the two signals affect the pattern displayed, Vu Meters
were added to allow adjustment of the individual levels.
Having a recognized name in the radio and television broadcast field
brought opportunity after opportunity to B&B Systems for installing
and testing broadcast stations, studios, equipment rooms, and
SYSTEM DESIGN AND
B&B Systems having a name for solving problems began designing radio
and television studios, equipment rooms, and transmitter sites. As a
direct result of our excellent reputation for solving problems and
getting stations on the air, we were doing the job right the first time
instead of fixing the problems later.
B&B HAS BEEN BUILDING
RADIO AND TELEVISION STATIONS SINCE THE 80'S.
